Can you catch cold by sleeping without blanket? or by walking in rain without um!
Question:
Can you catch cold by sleeping without blanket? or by walking in rain without umbrella?
I think that I caught a cold today because yesterday was so hot, I slept without a blanket.
Answers:
No you do not catch colds from being wet or chilled. That is a common myth. Colds are caused by viruses not cold weather. Cold viruses are most likely spread by direct contact with the person who has a cold virus for example by shaking hands or touching an object with the virus on it.
Cold viruses are not easy spread via kissing-even french kissing-but since you are up close I would not recommend smooching a sick person!
One reason people think we tend to get more colds in the cooler months is that we are cooped up indoors-closer to others.
