Question: I will try drinking water upside down from a glass.

Answers: I will try drinking water upside down from a glass.

I've found that if you hold your nose for ten seconds,
And then slowly breath in then out that usually works try it!!

Thanks :)

burping always works - expels the air

you need to fill the glass to the brim and lean over it to drink from the other side (a good idea to do it over the sink) works every time

Hold your breath. This helps me! Then have a glass of water and answer a few questions on Y/A to take your mind off of them!

rub the roof of your mouth with your finger

If you hold your breath for as long as is physically possible, Then

Hold your breath for ten seconds, it always works for me, Good Luck :)

Ask yourself when the next one is coming. Really concentrate on waiting for it. It works if you are concentrating hard enough on the next one!

no hold your breath for several seconds to a couple of minutes (but dont pass out :O ) becuase CO2 will calm your diapragm and stop it having spasms

Try holding your breath and count the length of your age. If that doesn't keep drinking water. Good luck!

Yea...Stick your head under water twice, and come up once... So far its worked with everyone ive told...hope that helps...

Pick a fight and get knocked out. It will relax the spasm in your diaphragm.

have someone scare you lol jk dats so old school but drink lots of water

Take slow deep breaths. Kinda like when you yawn. Do that for about 30 seconds to a minute. That helps me.
Oh and be careful of how much water they are telling you to drink... Most of us heard of that woman on the radio who died from drinking too much water in a short amount of time.

#1 Try to hiccup into someone else's hand.....
#2 If #1 fails, take a spoonfull of sugar.....

i always try holding my breath for a very long time... 30-60 seconds at least.

tends to go after i've done that...or at least that's what the paramedics tell me when they've managed to revive me.

Chug water. Don't just drink a little, drink for as long as you possisbly can. Hiccups are just muscle spasms in the diaphragm. Drinking will regulate the muscle movement.

Try to control your belly and see if you can relax the spasm. If that doesn't work, take a whole mouthful of water and gulp it all down in one swallow. It's all about pushing the right air back down and getting the spasm to loosen enough to stop the hiccups.

hold your breath for as long as you can, and then breath out and breath in, then hold your breath for as long as you can again.. usually by the third time of repeating this mine have gone away... and i tried drinking water upside down before,, and it came out my nose,, so i wouldn't suggest it

anything that changes the breathing pattern - hold your breath, or take irregular/sharp/deep breathes, jump up and down to get out of breath. The earlier you do it the easier it is to get rid of them.

hold your breath and swallow three times xx

one time i had a girl tell me that she'd give me 20 bucks if i hiccuped again. it totally worked!!

try not to breathe for a good few seconds

Pinch your nose (so you can't breathe) and drink water while doing that. Works everytime..!

Have someone scare you it always works, don't bother trying the others those are played out

No put your fingers in your ears and get someone to give u drink of water it works everytime trust me.

1. Light stove. 2. Burn finger. 3. Forget about hiccups.

try drinking the water from the other side of the glass

i have a couple that do work.

1) get somebody else to watch you hiccup and when they see you get them to say bet you can't do it again. this isnt hugely reliable, but works sometimes

2) drink water upside down (note, you dont have to drink it from the glass. get the liquid in your mouth like normal then bend forwards and swallow. saves yourself having to clean up)

3) take 7 breaths as quickly as you can (out in counts as one)

4) take 7 deep breaths slowly (try to surpress any hiccups that come whilest you do it)

5) try to control your breathing. concentrate on your tummy and when you feel some hiccups comings, breth deep

6) If all else fails, ignore them. they will go away in a few minutes

BOO! LOL, Seriously, hold your breath and squat down scrunching your stomach. works for me when I've been out on the p*ss.

hold ur breath and then swallow the air.. it helps for me!
