Painful Foot Cramps, help?!

Question: I have very frequent foot cramps. Mostly on my right foot. It is sooo painful that I almost want to collapse in pain.
It's so horrible, because when I'm laying in bed it'll just happen and I can't move.
I don't have arthritis and I'm only 12 years old.

Is there any way to prevent this, or make it stop faster when it happens?

Oh yeah there is a way to make the pain go away but not a cure. I have the same problems ever since I was born.. My dad says its because of the dramatic temperature change. Like if you just got out of the shower and step your foot on the cold tile floor. It doesn't happen instantly but it will happen. I have times where I been cried so I know how you feel

ANywho put something hot on your foot. Like one of those rubber bags where you put hot water in it and stays hot for hours on end. Even if its an empty 2 liter bottle of soda, fill it up w/ hot water and put it on your foot. Massage your foot too, it helps. I hope these tips help you out because I go through the same thing.

idk. do ur feet smell?

GO TO THE DOCTORS

is it a sudden intense pain that just as soon as it came, dissapates? in that case it's a charley horse, it happens to everybody, dont worry about.

find a hot guy to massage it!!! jk jk. u should see the doctor to make sure nothing happened to the muscle!! but for now just try heat on it or something. good luck sweetie!

you may be lacking in potassium or pulled a tendon in your foot. i would first see your doctor than a podiatrist

keep you legs and feet warm helps with circulation causing cramps drink more fluids

Drink more water...and it usually happens after activity. You should bend it one way or the other, but can never remember which, until I make it worse.

THEY ARE GROWING PAINS, I HAD THEM TOO!

I think it is because you are growing, your bones are stretching.

You might be dehydrated. Dehydration can cause pretty bad foot cramps, especially after alot of exercise or being on your feet all day.
Just drink lots of water and make sure you keep yourself hydrated.

Growing pains I think. You would want to tell ya mom though so you can just go to DR. and make sure. If it is a cramp you need to get up and walk on it. Fastest way to make it go away.

TAKE, "QUININE", IN SOME FORM.

QUININE WATER MIGHT WORK.

AT YOUR LOCAL GROCER.

I have a tendency toward that problem, too. Usually in bed, just like you. It's probably the cold weather which is aggrivating it. It's extremely painful. I usually just massage, and flex my feet to make it go away. Once it's gone, I try to keep my feet relaxed until I fall asleep.

well you should go to the doctor. talk to your parents. this should be looked at.
