All nurses or doctors, Can someone explain what this twitch might be?!

Question: over the past several days i have developed a twitch in my left hand, it is definatly a twitch and not a muscle spasm. i do have an injury to my left shoulder, but the doctor and physical therapist have both assured me it is nothing to do with my injury, no family history of anything like this, i was wondering if anyone had this. and yes i am going to my doctor monday. thanx in advance

get a referral to a neurologist (nerve doctor) right away.

he/she can do testing to see which nerve is being affected by the injury.

It could be :amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
[ Which I hope it isn't ]

It's difficult to say without a proper neurological exam. So, just patiently wait till you see your doctor to find out what's going on.

not a doctor or anything but maybe it's just a hand tremor --- I had one when I fell and banged my elbow really hard --- got a contusion and stuff -- their annoying but they go away on their own -- brb --- it has to do with some nerve thing that runs down the arm -- ulnar nevre or something
