It's not masking tape that you want to use, it's duct tape. You wear the duct tape over the wart for 6 days & then remove it...soak the area in water & use an emery board or pumice stone to scrape away the lose skin & then reapply the duct tape. You will need to continue this for approx. 2 months until the spot goes away. There is something in the duct tape that speeds up the process by prompting the immune system to attack the virus right away. Masking tape does not work as well. Also...if you find the "mother" wart (the first one if there is more then one) and get rid of that one, the rest will disappear! Good luck!

My niece tried it.Not masking tape tho...it was electrical tape(black shiny stuff)The pediatrician recommended it.The tape cuts off the air supply to the wart causing it to die.

wow i never got warts i think toads are creepy

Never heard of that-But!
Compound-W works!
You can also use it on children. The wart will keep getting bigger, and will spread to other places if you don't get rid of it.
After washing his hands, apply a coat on the wart. It's going to create a film on the wart, but it's harmless. Put some on the wart, everytime the film wears off. (DON'T PICK AT IT!). It may take a few days, for it to disappear, depending on how big it is.
(PS) If you've notice tiny "dots" on the fingers, hands, etc, that means it's spreading. Apply the medicine on those too!

You can also tie a very fine line, like fishing line or human hair (!) around the main part of a raised wart and it will fall off in a few days, in much the same way as with tape on a flat wart.
