The cost depends on how much treatment you need, not your age. For instance, an ankle sprain won't need as much rehab as a shoulder dislocation because the injury is not as severe. If you don't have insurance or if the co-pay for you is really high, ask if the facility has a payment plan. Most of them do, and some will reduce the amount you have to pay.
As mentioned above, it depends first on what type of treatment you need.
If you have some type of insurance or public aid, PT usually is covered for some type of co-payment.
If you are in a tight bind without insurance, some companies do have policies to help those in need. It might include deferred payments, discounted rates, etc.
Yet, if worse comes to worse, many times, a home exercise program can be issued with only a few follow up visits to assess your progress and progress your program.
The cost though, will also vary on where you live. I live in a very large metropolitin area and work in a hospital based clinic...and average cost of services is about $175-250 a session (depending on how long and what type of treatment). My friend who works in an outpatient clinic (which tends to be cheaper) in a more rural area costs only about $125-$175 a session.
