You don't mention what virus you had, so I'm assuming you had a cold, or rhinovirus. You may want to read the following, which can occur after a cold:

1. Costochondritis. Literally "inflammation of the chest cartilage". http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/costoch... http://services.epnet.com/GetImage.aspx/...
2. Pleuritis/pleurisy. Inflammation of the lining of the lungs. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pleuris...
3. Bronchitis. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/bronchi...
4. Pneumonia. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pneumon...

Any of the above may be a possibility. If you think you have bronchitis or pneumonia, you may want to see a physicial for evaluation and treatment.

Its most likely gas or acid reflex. If the pain doesn't stop in the next two hours go to the hospital because it could be more then that. Also in the mean time take some tums or something for indegestion and lay on your left side as that's they way your intestines go.

Don't eat before bed. The flu?
