High ankle sprain causing numbness?!
Question: Ever since I got a high ankle sprain last friday, my leg has been numb from just above the sprain all the way to my toes. (only the top of my foot and left part of my leg). I went to get an x-ray and didnt find it broken and the doctor said that it was probably some nerve damage of some sort, but he didn't go into detail at all and dint prescribe me anything for it or tell me when the numbness should be gone. It's been 3 days now and the numbness hasnt gone down at all... Should I just wait it out?, and if so how long should it take approximately?
Thank You

Swelling may be pushing on the nerves and limiting the circulation.
Apply ice 20 min on 40 min off
Elevate as much as possible on a pillow, this will avoid any pressure points on the ankle.
Try arnica rub, it works great for this type of injury
