Takes about a year for a broken bone to heal fully. my guess is that it is broken, even if you can still move it...

My husband broke his hand last March and he has been thru lots of physical theropy for it. If your hand is stiff a lot, you need to stretch the muscles many times a day for weeks... they should eventually get thier movement back...

you probably broke it... it will be sore for about a year

Maybe you should see an osteopath.
They are magicians for broken, sprained joints,aches....

When we injure just about any part of our body, we give it rest and treat it with care.
When we injure our hands, we tend to continue using the injured finger just like normal. A bit of pain seems to outweigh the bulky protection our doctors give us--if we even go to see the doctor at all.
You probably could improve the situation by giving it as much of a rest as you can. To exercise it use your other hand and go easy.
Good luck, and feel better!
