On medication eye still swollen. What else can I do?!

Question: I had a sinus infection last week. I thought it had went away and all the sudden my eye swelled up. I went to the ER on Sat morning and the doctor gave me augmentin. I started the medicine yesterday morning, but none of the swelling has gone down. It seems to have gotten worse. Is there something else I can do to get the swelling down till the medication hopefully starts to work? I'm taking a nasal spray and an over the counter medication and its not working to get any of the swelling down yet.

alternate between warm and cold compresses for the next day. use a small towel ,run under the cold tap and place over your eye for 15-20 min. next do the same only with very warm water(wring excess water from towel first). alternate like this as often as you would care to or can for the next day or so. not only does it reduce the swelling but also helps with any pain caused by the swelling. p.s. it usually takes 2-3 days for your antibiotic to kick in good. i hope this helps out.
