Settlement?!
Question: I was walking to school about a year ago and was hit by a car. I hit the windshield and was thrown off the car. The girl went to my school and asked if i was okay but then when i turned around she was gone. I went into school and told the nurse I had got hit by a car and that I was in a lot of pain. I was sent to the hospital and had suffered many bruises, a concussion, and spinal and knee injuries. My knees and legs ache all the time and I have muscle spasms in my back that hurt so escruciating that i cannot move nor function in many ways. My school eventually found the girl on cameras and was charged. Her insurance is trying to settle for 7 thousand dollars. Is this reasonable? I need to hurry up and settle but I don't think this is a fair amount with the amount of pain I am still in. Can I request more? Will i get it? and what is a reasonable amount?

Do Not Settle!!! Get an attorney. You may think you are going to be fine but sometime in the future your injuries become something more serious. I settled with n insurance company for $50,000 and thought I was so lucky. Five years later, 2 operations, and $390,000 worth of medical bills prove I was wrong.
Even though I have a problem supporting them I would not sigh anything without a lawyer.
What you think is the great need for you to settle may someday be open of the worst mistakes of your life.

Shortly put, NEVER accept an insurance companies quote without contacting a lawyer :). Your medical bills would have been WAY more than 7,000, so the best thing you can do right now is call a lawyers office up. I can almost guarantee that you can get more than 7,000. Have a lawyer fight for you - don't settle for an insurance company.

You have no idea what-so-ever what's going to happen down the lne. Medical, hospitals doctors, furture problems from the injuries.
It should be more like $170,000.00 at least and in fact go for the full amout $250,000.00
No, do not take that money! You could have long term health problems from this incident. 7K is nothing! It will not take care of your medical bills for long term care.
Unfortunately to get a fair settlement you will need to hire an attorney. That means he/she will get 30-40% of any settlement but, they can make sure you get enough for your needs. You should be able to get 6 figures for what happened to you.
I hope the girl who hit you has been charged. I can't believe she left you by the side of the road like that.
