Constipation?!


Question: Bit embarrassing. Went out on Sat night got very drunk and was sick. I hadnt eaten alot all day, or yesterday. Was really constipated yesterday and today. My stools are really hard and hurts so much. Is it because I hadnt eaten alot so its been waiting inside me for a few days. Also, im kinda dehydrated too, that might be it. I have taken 2 "senna" tablets that you can buy from the chemist. its making me bleed a bit help! x

1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Moisturise the ring of your bum when you need to 'go', to prevent splitting (which is probably where the bleeding is coming from) Vaseline is best. When you're constipated, keep your knees together and straighten your legs when you go, so your skin is less stretched.
3. Drink more water.
4. Check your diet generally. Eat fewer refined flour foods (white pastas and breads) and if you eat a lot of meat, cut down. Learn to like fruits and salads, and seeded/wholemeal breads.

Eat a good selection of fresh fruit, the natural way is best.

Yuck! Erm you should be ok, just drink fluids, eat fruit and you should be fine.

Have a curry! Honestly, it might sound a bit daft but a lot of spices used in the hotter curries are traditionally used in India to treat such problems.

Kiwi fruit leads the way on your path to soft, comfortable regularity.

Use a spoon

Sounds like you know exactly what you are doing wrong.
You are probably eating too many cookies, breads, chips, meats, etc.
How the hell can you be constipated if you don't eat anything.
Maybe the problem is in your head or pants and not in your intestines.

Prune juice, bananas and apple juice, but gotta hurry you can die from getting clogged for too long.

You can get bullet shaped glycerine gells that push inside and melt, and have senna built in.
Disgusting, but it may be neccesary - run a warm bath, use the back end of a small spoon. The water will enter and lubricate if you lie back.
