Could someone explain what it means to have a wart fall off?!
Question: I have 4 warts, 2 on each thumb, and am using compound W to kill them. I have already peeled off two layers of skin and am still using this stuff, and its starting to sting every time I apply it. I was hoping someone could explain to me when I know it is dead, and when it has "fallen off".

When there is no obvious bump left at all, you can discontinue the compound w for a while and see if the area dries up and goes back to normal. If the area is still hurting after a few days, you may need to start again. That wart stuff can hurt, I tried it twice on the same wart, it just made it hurt horribly and go away a bit, but never got rid of it. So I went to my dermatologist. She said to put duct tape on it for a while and see if it works. In a week the wart was entirely gone and it didn't hurt or fall off, just got smaller and smaller until it was gone. Never would have believed it otherwise.
i'm not sure how you know if it's all gone, but if you do not get all of it, it will return. sorry! maybe go to compound W website?
