Good habit is important for a good night sleep. The following are simple actions that may improve your quality of sleep:
Go to bed and get up at the same time everyday.

Avoid working in the bed. Example: Try not to surf Internet or watch TV in the bed. It may be too stimulating to the brain and it will take longer time to fall asleep. Also it is harder to relax and to think of the bed as a place to sleep.

- Do not take naps. It will throw your sleep cycle off.

- Avoid bedtime snacks especially grains and sugars.

- Such foods raise blood sugar and inhibit sleep.

- Sleep in a dim or complete darkness room. Light in the room can disrupt the circadian rhythm and pineal gland's production of sleep aid melatonin and serotonin.

- Avoid as many drugs as possible. Some medications, both prescription and on-the-shelf may have effects on sleep.

- Avoid caffeine.

- Avoid alcohol. Alcohol will keep you away from quality sleep.

- Take a hot bath. When body temperature fall, it facilitates sleep.

- Start a sleep routine. Ten to fifteen minutes before sleep, lie down listen to relaxing music or read something soothing for sleep.

The traditional warm glass of milk before bed.

Be brave ! if dont sleep now you sleep later, dont die bcs of that, dont get as i did myelf, anxious!
Do some heavy phisical exercise to make you very tired, then relax in bed by readin a book or seeing tv and wait patient for sleep come:)

learn to relax. take it easy. i have also sleep problem, insomnia in short. you can drink a glass of milk before sleeping perhaps it can help you, then you have to sleep early without turning your tv, your room should be lights off and dont think anything, it will only bother you for the rest of the night. if those things has no effect on you, try to see a doctor for proper medication. he can prescribed you a sleeping pills or an anxiolytics or a hypnotics or an antidepressants which can help you to sleep. its not dangerous if it is prescribed by the doctor and follow the signa or the direction of the doctor. just remember you have a prescription on buying those medicines. just a friendly reminder from a pharmacist. good luck.

Are you excercising on a daily bases, taking vitamin, eating the right food, and how much coffee are you drinking. Another thing is do you have kids, in college those type of things will make your body tired. When was the last time you had a physical so he can check your blood levels, who knows you might be anemic. Ambien is safe., tylenol Pm is good to. or try chalomile tea, bedtime tea to see if that stuff works if not, go with the otherstuff. Drinking alot of water, stay away from soda, that will dehydrate you. Getting plenty of rest at night and not going to bed late. Taking little naps is important to. Try getting a massage, that will relax you, and a nice hot bath, hot shower. Good luck
