a banana can relieve pain for a short amount of time...exercise(even though you may not feel like it), and as much as you want to do NOT pig out on eating everything. it makes you feel worse.

also, yoga can help (great actually) you can lay down on the floor facing your bed/couch and put your feet up on the bed or couch. this position helps greatly.

well I know it is hard, but if you stay active your cramps won't be so bad. Also make sure you drink lots of water every day, not just when you are on your period. And eat lots of chocolate :)

Drink LOTS of water, and take showers, instead of baths. It increases blood flow, and makes it easier. Other than that, Motrin always helps me more than anything else.

Try herbals. Sorry I can't be more specific; Midol always did it for me. But herbals sometimes work wonders.

Oh--try Dong Quai (Tang Quai, other spellings). It's supposed to be good for female problems.

Magnesium. Best kind is the powder drink mixes that you can get at a supplement store.
Also, if that doesn't do it, see a naturopath, herbalist, or nutritionist. Thesedays everybody thinks it's normal to have cramps, because almost everybody does, but I assure you, it's not natural, and you can correct this problem!

About a week before your next period is due, start taking Evening Primrose oil capsules.
I suffer from bad cramps, but i find once i have some Evening Primrose oil in my system before my period starts, the cramps are less severe. They don't totally go,but it helps.

Aside from that, just the usual ; strong pain killers, hot water bottles/pads,drink warm drinks,do some light exercise like go for a walk or ride a bike.

Hope you feel better soon x
