Is lasik eye surgery permanent??..?!
Question: i've been asking myself if i wanna go thru it or not...i know its expensive and all...is it worth not getting it and being handcuffed to these damn glasses all the time??

I also heard that it isn't life long. It could last for years and years, but as we age our eyes change. Thus, your corrected eyes could change and you could end up wearing glasses again. The length of time this could take (if ever) would very by person I would imagine. You could probably ask your eye doctor about that for free. I'm also thinking of getting the surgery and am hoping I wouldn't need glassed again until middle age. As a tip, a friend of mine actually got part of her laser eye surgery covered by her insurance... they gave her her yearly/biyearly amount for glasses credited towards it. You could check that out too.

Yes it is permanent and half the time, only one eye needs it. It takes about 4 seconds to do and you have to wait 30 minutes before leaving.
You have to wear sunglasses for 1 day or 2 . That's about it.
The cost in Canada is about $400 to $600.
No side effects or whatever. By the time you enter and leave, the whole process is 30 minutes and that includes your recovery while taking a coffee.
Actually I did some research because i wanted to get it done and it is not permanent. It last for several years but not forever and when you get it done once you can't do it again. I know a few people who got it done and are back to wearing glasses or contacts
