My legs are twitching everytime I try to hold still?!

Question: Every time I try to hold still, or sit down completely still, my muscles twitch. Mostly in my legs, but sometimes in my hands and arms.
My hands are always so shaky all the time, and this has been going on for a year now. Every doctor I see is baffled and offer no help at all.
I'm an artist, and painting is difficult when you can keep your hand still.
What is wrong with me? ):

I have it, not quit as bad as you. In searching for holistic answers I learned that calcium and potassium are supposed to help. Have been taking both and actually forgot that I have the problem until you mentioned it!
Calcium 1500 mg. daily.
Potassium in foods only: broccoli, bananas, potatoes. 2 oranges daily.
Could you be allergic to something in your painting supplies. It's just a thought.....

I wish you well. That's miserable. You'll find the answer!
You could email me. We could share info??

Sounds like you have Restless leg syndrome. Go and see a Dr

Do you drink a lot of coffee, or get a lot of caffeine in your diet? Or sugar? Sometimes it can do that.

if ur not a coffee addict.... only the doctor can help

my very old great aunt shakes alot like her hands, and i think its cause she has arthritis but prob cause shes just old, so idk. about the legs, my friend has something like restless leg synddrom, like wenever she goes to bed her legs like bother her and she needs to be like moving them..idk i know this answer didnt help much and so other people will know more

well, you either are taking in too much caffiene or you have restless leg syndrome. I'm surprised doctors haven't done anything yet because they have medicines for all that stuff. If you havent seen a doctor about your problems in a while, see a different one. If he still doesnt give you anything, start researching then go back to your doctor and suggest the diagnosis you've found.

this is only a question a doctor can answer. It may be serious or nothing.Find out as soon as you can.A neurologist can help with the diagnosis.I am surprised you were not sent to one.

Could be something neurological. Parkingsons could be something to look into. If you want, see a neurologist
