My wrist really hurts?!

Question: My wrist hurts whenever I'm dong something like writing or doing even something as small as buttering bread. But if i'm just laying down it's fine. I know I have poor circulation in my wrist because it often tingles whenever i'm sitting at the comp or doing something for a long period of time. I work at a pizza shop and I take orders over the phone all day long. I'm trying to fiqure out how to get through the day with my wrist hurting like it is but I can't call off. Any ideas on what it could be?

First I would get a wrist brace to help immobilize it....for less movement of the wrist and helps to reshape the soft tissue below the surface. Sounds like the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome which you will have the pain, tingling, and some numbness. Also with a lot of repetitive movement it could be a sprained UCL or RCL which are the ligaments of the unla...pinkie side of the wrist ...and of the raius...thumb side of the wrist. There are stretches you can do and also friction therapy from a massage therapist helps wonders. I had this same prob myself and being a therapist I save myself from surgery.

hurry and see a doctor!!:) It could be very serious and you may not be able to use your wrist again but if you go now your doctor can tell what and what not to do. i hope this helps.

See a doc.

On a side note, doing a certain yoga/exercise move called "hindu push-ups" snapped my wrist back into place ending years of soreness after a serious fall.

Still, see a doc.

You may have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. A weakness of the wrist muscles. It could get worse. Get it checked before it locks up on you and you will need surgery. See an Orthopedic Doctor. You got it from making Pizzas. Same constant motion will cause this. Good Luck

It sounds like you have the beginning of carpal tunel syndrome. This is a very hard thing to get rid of. A lot of time it gets surgery eventually, but very often the problem comes back within two years if you don't change your job. You have to get a job where you're not using your hand all the time.
Chiropractors feel that much of the problem comes from the neck and upper shoulders area, and patients with CTS always have problems in these areas too. Good luck.
