A doctor's answer would be nice?!

Question: I recently said to the doctor that when I get the urge to go for a wee I find it really hard to hold in. I'm only 21 and he said there should be no reason for that and blamed it on the antidepressants I was taking and so changed them. It hasn't made a huge amount of difference. As soon as the urge comes on I suddenly feel like I'm going to wet myself.
Not only that but when I go for a number 2 it also feels over- sensitive. I don't have piles or anything- as people are all too keen to advise me about- it just feels like I have really thin skin or something and it's really sensitive.
Is there something that could cause this? I also have very sensitive eyes and if a fan heater or air conditioning is on my eyes water constantly.

Ok I'm not a doctor but I'm a vet (no offence intended) I've seen this condition before in animals and it sounds like you could have stress incontinence with a weak bladder. what you need t do is see a urologist who will probably suggest inserting a tiny camera into your bladder to have a look around. It's done under general anaesthetic so it's not painful. Maybe a course of antibiotics could help too incase of a genitourinary infection. I hope I've thrown some light on this for you.

Go back to your doctors hun cos you are obviously suffering from something that none of us can help with. Try a few different doctors if necessary good luck xx

I think it could be a urinary tract infection or cystitis(bladder infection). This is quite common, the symptoms are what you have mentioned in your query. In addition,if you feel burning sensation while weeing and feel like its very sensitive down below...it goes more in favour of UTI.A simple urine dipstick in A&E or at your GP surgery will throw some light on this.
You will feel a lot better once treatment is commenced for any bug that may be causing this.
This is not the best and complete advise anyone can give on this forum,I am writing to help you because I know how terrible it feels what you may be going through.Get help, see your GPor go to A&E.Take care
