Nursing home's responsibility to patients?!

Question: My ex-husband is in a full care nursing home but I have had to hire a babysitter for him who tells me the people at the home get him out of bed at 8:30 AM and won't put him back in bed until midnight when he is tired by 8:30 PM. What can I do.

Some states have ombudsmen who monitor nursing homes. I would talk to the administrator and the state ombudsman, if your state has these.

What you've described is abuse and is potentially lethal, as your husband could develop pressure sores. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.

address your concerns to the manager or lead nurse or both. if nothing changes take him out of there and find another place. or you can sue them for mistreatment

i would have a talk with the administrator and i mean it that is called abuse who do these people think they are leaving him sitting around till 12 midnight know i am mad how horroble i would be writing letters to somebody you march in there and tell them you want your husband in bed by 8:30 pm and if he is not your going over there heads.
