My neck keeps cracking hope it doesn't fall off.?!

Question: I went to a physical therapist for my neck, mine cracks all the time too, and he said that basically when you crack your neck, even if its just by bending or something, not intentionally cracking it, the noise comes from pushing your vertabrate farther than they are intended to move. It also wears down the cartilidge between the vertabrate faster than normal. I tried to stop but sometimes it would just happen and also it makes my neck feel better.

lol My wrist does the same thing. Just keeps cracking. Just born that way I guess :P
You don't gotta worry your head fallin off lol

My fingers do that! haha I just ignore it.

Meh, it's okay. I have numerous amounts of joints that crack. Doing this releases gas which is held between bones and such, it helps if you crack it. Of course, when it's your neck, you need to be careful. If you crack your neck periodically, it actually could damage it. If you don't do it on purpose, it should be fine. But I would suggest maybe seeing a doctor.

List of things that crack for me:
Big toe
Ankles
Knees
Waist
Fingers,
and Neck.

well if it falls off i got some duck tape so ill help u tape it back on

The cracking, by itself, is not harmful. Could indicate some instability of the muscles or ligaments if it is doing it allot and normally does not. Check your posture and pillow. There are some simple exercises to help stabilize the neck. If it does not improve, see a chiropractor.
