Question about pain in the feet when snowboarding?!

Question: Hey guys, when i snowboard it seems that the whole bottom of my foot starts to hurt after an hour or two. It feels as a burning sensation that grows stronger if i dont take a break. If i stop for lets say 10 min, it somewhat subsides. I have noticed that it hurts more whenever i make a right turn (toe side) compared to when i do left turn (heal side). After I stop for the day, whenever I walk I dont really feel much pain, just some soreness similarily to what you feel when you get bruised on other parts of your body. The pain seems to only be occurring when I snowboard. Has anyone else had similar problems. What could be the cause of it? What could I do to make the pain go away?
When I was a kid, I don't quite remember, but I might have been diagnosed as having partially flat feet. Could that be causing it?

Take care of those feet! I had 37 procedures on both feet over the course of 5 surgical dates, lost a toe in the process, and have vicious scars to boot. Your feet are much abused when engaged in impact sports such as snowboarding, downhill skiing, running, etc. The pain you are feeling is probably from your tendons being stretched when you drop all your weight back down onto the board after going air-borne. It may sound silly, but get some orthopedic ted hose. They are really tight and help support your feet and legs thereby decreasing the risk of injury...note, I said decreasing, not eliminating the risk of injury.

Have fun on the slopes!

Do your snowboarding shoes give good arch support? Try adding arch support that seems similar to your most comfortable everyday shoes. Lack of arch support is a big potential issue, and can even cause problems while bicycling.
