I am scared...Are there any medicine for muscle or bone injuries? Please read th!

Question: I have a knee ligament injury.. Initially it gave me too much pain while walking or getting jerk. I haven't gone to any doctor or MRI scan. But I know it is a ligament injury. Now the pain is gone(maybe because I have stopped playing football) but I am still not comfortable with my knee.
How much time does it takes for the ligament injury to be cured on its own.

No ligament injury should ever go without being checked by a Doctor. Permanent damage could be done, and prolonged activity on a leg with damage can only create more problems! Yes, you may have stopped playing football, so you've stopped putting excessive strain on the ligaments now, but what about when you decide to play basketball, or ski, or some other sport that would put strain on a potentially torn ligament?

If you are a minor, your parents should take you immediately to have the leg looked at...medical insurance is always available for minor children. If you are over the age of 18, I would go to your nearest Health Department and ask for assistance. Many times, you can at a minimum, get an Xray done, to make sure there is no bone problems and more may be done , i.e. catscan, etc. to determine if anything else needs to be corrected. Good luck to you!

Don't mean to be blunt but you don't know if it truely is a ligament injury, it very well could be but it might not be no matter if the pain feels the same or like someone else who had a ligament injury. Now you don't know what you did to your knee, it could be nothing it could be somthing. I would certinaly recommend seeing a doctor about it because you don't want to mess around with your knees. However if you are refusing to go to the doc. for money or what have you then deal with it untill the pain either stops or you can't deal with it anymore. you can also take an antinflammatory to stop swealling. But most of all remember, you can not be turned down by health care because of inability to pay. I should know, I work at a hospital. Good Luck.

it could take a week or month even longer you may think it is better why don't you go to the hospital is there a particular reason?
put it this way if you don't go get it sorted propally you may damage it so bad you may never play football again and even cripple you in later life so what ever your reasons you need to go to a doctor have it sorted good luck Dave
P.S you can use ice packs the gel ones which you can put in the freezer they will take away inflammations from the knee

It all comes down to what is initially wrong with your knee. There are different levels of ligament injuries. It could take a couple months of rest and rehabilitation if it is minor. If it is ruptured or stretched too far most of the time it requires surgery. Go to the Doctor and get it checked out. I avoided mine and ended up having to have surgery. Good luck
