usually for me it is rotting teeth and gums, so I go for a cleaning and inspection.

recently I discovered that the teeth were mostly ok I have acid reflux .. and that gives a bitter taste in the mouth.

It could be allergies to those foods.. check out if the foods that give you that bitter taste have an ingredient in common.
