Are cement burns bad??? IMPORTANT?!

Question: my cousin is goin into hospital to be put to sleep tomorrow to clean up his cement burns.
will he be ok? its all up his legs and on one of his arms..
how does cement burn?

im fairly worried about him.. he is like 16. and was working with his dad, his dad told him to wash it off but he didnt listen so the cement was still on his arms and legs and slowly burnt through his clothes and on his skin. will it be ok after they clean it up?

ive never had cement burns myself but ive seen some bad 1s being in construction hell most likey be ok but it does burn and as its been explained to me its more like a chemical reaction then a heat burn

ive never heard of cement burns....im sure he will be fine.

He' s not real smart, there are guys out there that have had to have legs amputated from repeated exposure. I'm sure that if this is a one time thing that your cousin will be o.k., but remind him that people tell him things for a reason.

Cement burns are chemical burns caused by the caustic (alkaline) nature of cement. The burns can be bad. The best source of information about your cousin will come from his doctor.

My guess, since he's not currently hospitalized is that he'll be ok; but, it could be a long healing process.

Edit: What I meant to say was "Since they didn't keep him in the hospital, this is a good indication that he'll be ok." Anyone can sue anyone over anything (and they do)--but, no, he probably couldn't win a lawsuit like that.
