Recovery periods for various injuries?!

Question: A friend was hurt in an accident last night and i'm trying to keep ahead of the doctors here...

Does anybody have any concrete idea what the typical recovery time would be for a healthy 22 year old female who sustained the following injuries:

1. Broken Pelvis
2. Broken Hips
3. Fractured Back
4. Broken Femur
5. Fractured Skull (No sign of TBI - tramatic brain injury)

Thanks.

It sounds like a minimum recovery time of about 6 months but posssibly a year or longer. The back injury would likely take the longest, assuming there was no paralysis and no surgery was needed. However, this is an estimate and there is no way to know if any complications will occur.

The other injuries should heal within that time period, after stabilizing surgery to set the fractures (pins, casts, traction...whatever was used).

I was in a car accident when I was 16 with lesser injuries (mostly soft tissue to chest and abdomen with fractures to face, skull and right femur) and it took me about a year to make a full recovery. My most extensive injuries were to 4 abdominal organs and lungs (ruptures and tears).

EMT

When I was 17, I was in a car accident where I broke my pelvic bone in three places and dislocated my hip, I was in the hospital for a week. They put my knee in traction (put a pin though my knee and attached a pulley with a weight to slowly put my hip in place)And then I had surgery where they put two pins in my pelvic bone (right by those little hip bones) the pins stuck out about an inch and then there was a rod on the outside that connected them together. They did this to hold my pelvic bone in place until it healed! I had them in for about two months. I used a wheelchair and a walker that time b/c I couldn't put weight on one of my legs (I don't remember which one) After I healed I was back to normal and live a normal life now. The only thing I have to worry about is when I start having babies I might not be able to have a natural birth and possibly might have to have a c-section!! I hoped I helped and my prayers will be with your friend in a healthy recovery. Good luck!
