Always tired?!

Question: I was recently out of work and drank quite a lot (mostly out of boredom) and I had trouble sleeping- I was lucky to get 3 hours a night.
I started working again his week and found that when I came home I was really tired- I slept from 6pm to 7 am every night this week and still woke up really really tired. I havent wanted a drink all week but every morning I feel like I have the biggest hangover ever- thumping headache and trouble keeping my eyes open even though i havent touched a drop. Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix it?

Btw I'm not depressed- just really tired

Go for check up with doc to rule out any deficiency of any sort. It may also be that you are getting too much sleep, as silly as that sounds. If you can manage to have a light meal when you get home, a cool shower and a change of clothes, then try to keep busy, even just on the computer for a while, a phone call whatever and go to bed about 10pm. You may find less sleep is actually more beneficial to you.

have you had your iron levels checked recently, you may be anemic. go and visit your gp to be on the safe side, and cut down on your drinking would also help too,.

i don't know, but it doesn't sound good, if you were drinking for a long while maybe your body got addicted and is getting over it. whatever it is, check ot out with your local g.p

you may have a low thyroid count or low iron levels, you will need a blood test to confirm.

thyroid inimick lack of iron or calcium

ur body is probably in stress, it might just take longer to get it back on track

Go ans see your GP - you may be anaemic.
Look after yourself - eat a balanced diet, get some exercise & fresh air, lay of the booze & drink lots of water.
