I hear you, I walked into EMT class one day just as a fellow INSTRUCTOR was saying," so if the infant has an increased heart rate, in theory you could put it in the refridgerator to slow the rate down..." ... ummm, needless to say I took over the class and we had a talk with our chief afterwards.
This treatment modality IS 100% effective in stopping bleeding... eventually.
OH MY GOD get them out of society NOW!!! hahaha it was funny though

yeah, one EMT brought this guy in with a sat of 50. We couldn't figure it out till we took his shirt off and he still had the tourniquet on lol
