Manual Defibrilators.?!

Question: Whilst at a medical equipment exhibition a first responder was seen to put the paddles on a manual defib up to each ear.At the same time the machine was heard to be charging to 200 jeuls.Do you think we should have let him press the fire button on each paddle or were we right in pointing out the error of his ways.Perhaps it would have acted like Electro Convulsive Therapy and shocked his brain into being sensible.Merry Christmas to all.

what a Wally..........this is a serious piece of equipment........ he needs a good talking to.....perhaps his employer wishes he had pressed I bet he's a real attribute to them!!!!

first off I don't want him responding to me.

I'm a first responder, and we are trained a little better than that. surely he wouldn't be dumb enough to actually do that, but if he was it's a good thing somebody stoped him.

you were right in pointing this out to him.

merry christmas

yeah you should have let him do it, Ive always wondered what would happen if you shocked someone's head!

Yea should have let him shock himself would have been a good laugh! Why were they letting him play with a piece of equipment like that where I'm from only a medic or above can manually defib? kind of expensive to be toying around with and dangerous too
