10 yr.old son pain in testacle?!

Question: My 10 yr.old son is having pain in his right testacle.
Last Wednesday he was swinging around a belt and hit himself with the strap.
Could it be possible this is still causing pain 4 days later?
I am calling his doctor this morning but I am very nervous about this. Its early and the doctor isnt in yet.
I had him put ice on "it" last night, and the pain subsides with rest.
Please serious answers only.

There's definitely pain if the testicles are struck or kicked, and he might also feel nauseous for a short time. If it's a minor testicular injury, the pain should gradually subside in less than an hour and any other symptoms should go away. In the meantime, you can do a few things to help your son feel better such as take pain relievers, lie down, gently support the testicles with supportive underwear, and apply ice packs to the area. At any rate, it's a good idea to avoid strenuous activity for a while and take it easy for a few days.

However, if the pain doesn't subside or he experiences extreme pain that lasts longer than an hour; if you have swelling or bruising of the scrotum or a puncture of the scrotum or testicle; if he continues to have nausea and vomiting; or he develop a fever, get to a doctor immediately. These are symptoms of a much more serious injury that needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

Examples of serious testicular injury are testicular torsion and testicular rupture. In the case of testicular torsion, the testicle twists around, cutting off its blood supply. This can happen due to a serious trauma to the testicles, strenuous activity, or even for no apparent reason.

Testicular rupture can also happen, but it is a rare type of testicular trauma. This can happen when the testicle receives a forceful direct blow or when the testicle is crushed against the pubic bone (the bone that forms the front of the pelvis), causing blood to leak into the scrotum. Testicular rupture, like testicular torsion and other serious injuries to the testicles, causes extreme pain, swelling in the scrotum, nausea, and vomiting. To fix the problem, surgery is necessary to repair the ruptured testicle.

So in conclusion, yes it's very usual for the injured testicle to still hurt even four days later.

Seeing a Doctor : It's advised to consult your son's Pediatrician. A Urologist might be of help as well. Leave a message on your doctor's phone or at the clinic and inform him of the situation, and he will get back at you, or wait until he comes in and call him back.

He will first need to know how long your son has been experiencing pain and how severe his discomfort is. To rule out a hernia or other problem as the cause of the pain, the doctor will examine your son's abdomen and groin. In addition, the doctor will look at his scrotum for swelling, color, and damage to the skin and examine the testicle itself. Because infections of the reproductive system or urinary tract can sometimes cause similar pain, your doctor may do a urine test to rule out a urinary tract infection or infection of the reproductive organs.

hahahahahahahaha

sorry.

but yeah, balls hurt REALLY bad.

ask him if he got kicked i the balls too much from girls at his school thats what my friend told me to say just to let you kno

Yea, the Doctor will know.

Oh that sounds really bad! My boyfriend hurt his testicle once and it hurt for one day after that but that's all, maybe it's bruised inside? like the tissue is bruised.. otherwise I am not sure :( I hope all is fine with him!

yucks

yea he probably hit himself hard with the belt that part of the body is delicate...honestly it is best to contact the doctor instead of asking here because some people lie or make fun of this stuff

hes been masturbating too much iv'e had this experience because of eva longoria and jessica alba

smack his left testicle and the pain will stop

It is very possible to still have pain many days later. He probably just bruised himself there. Calm down I'm sure that he will be fine in a few days. Try putting a warm wet washcloth on it for a few minutes, this usually helps the pain more than ice.

First Relax. Then consult a UROLOGIST. This pain can be severe as this part of human body is very sensitive. In todays developed world, I dont think you should be nervous. Instead consult a doctor WITHOUT FAIL. It may be due to swelling, infection or any other reason. Dont wiat for anything, consult a doctor (preferably Urologist) immediately. There are solutions for all problems. Relax.

It's possible that it's bruised. I'm not a man but I know men who have been kicked down there and I have been told that it's normal for it to hurt a few days, but do have him go to a doctor. It's better to be safe than sorry.

ask the doctor what was wrong. geeZ, it never happen 2 me during my childhood age. if "it"s pain relieves last night now thats great. if "it"s causing more pain than usual, then go see a doctor straightaway. dont use any of ur own medications if u got any, i suppose it will causing more pain. now, juz relax...pray 2 god...and remember! call the doctor STRAIGHTAWAY if "it" causing more pain than usual. hope ur son is fine for the next few days. wish him get well soon from me.

merry christmas and god bless us everyone.
