Is sleeping on your stomach bad?!

Question: I've slept on my stomach since as far back as I can remember, but recently I've been seeing all these things that say it's really bad for you. Why is this? And what can I do to change my sleeping position? I find it very hard to fall asleep on my side, and it's extremely hard to fall asleep on my back. Any ideas?

Personally, I've never heard anything about it being 'bad'. If you are comfortable, than it's okay. If you have any problems with your breathing or musculoskeletal issues than I wouldn't recommend it. However, if these problems plagued you, sleeping in such a position wouldn't be comfortable to you.

i don't think so
i ALWAYS sleep on my stomach! ! !

Doctors prefer you to not sleep on your stomach

Sleeping on your stomach twists the neck, distorts the pelvis and results in excessive strain on the joints, muscles and nerves of your neck and lower spine.
For most people, side sleeping, with the knees partially flexed to reduce strain on the lower spinal muscles, is preferable. The arms should be kept below the shoulders to avoid compressing nerves and blood vessels that feed the arms and hands.
Back sleeping is acceptable if you use a supportive pillow for your neck.

lol - i sleep differnetly EVERY night - sometimes i have my hand under the pillows - sumtiems i sleep on MY stomach - sometiem on my back and sometimes on my side like that other person said - but no sleeping on ur stomahc does not have ANY affect otherwise on ur body UNLESS you have any pains or stress-related pains in ur body or any sore points - i dont think iits a good idea to change the way you are comfortable sleeping
