Always so tired?!

Question: About a week ago,for no apparent reason I just suddenly felt so tired and run down.I was having around 7 hours of sleep a night and still falling asleep two or three times during the day.I did pick up about halfway through the week and stopped dozing off at random. But my energy goes so quickly now,I can be literally fine one moment bouncy and alert and the next it feels as if someone has pulled a stopper out and all my energy literally drains away leaving me so tired.I always want to sit down at least when that happens but I know if I keep going that it will soon pick up again. These bursts of energy are very sudden as are the losses. What might be causing this?

Because it's been suggested already I need to clear up the fact that I am not pregnant.
I'm 19.
Have no previous health complications.
And have not shown any signs of a virus ect.

I've experienced something like this before, and it turned out that I had a mild sinus infection. I didn't really think of my head hurting because I was so tired, I figured it was just because I was so tired. I went to the doctor, took one day off to get some sleep, took medicine (that I had to take for the next two or three weeks) and I was back on track soon.

It may also be that you need more protein in your diet, or that your sleep patterns are disrupted. If you wake up during the night, even just to roll over, your body registers it as if you hadn't had any sleep at all before then. It could be an iron deficiency, or maybe mono. You won't really know unless you go to a doctor.

When you have a chance, try sleeping more than 7 hours a night, (8 or 9 are recommended) and getting to sleep a little earlier. Sometimes the easiest cure for the tireds is just sleep! If it persists though, go to a doctor. I don't mean to scare you at all: but I had a friend who has had some sort of virus (they're still not sure what it is) for over a year that has made her so tired that 10 minutes on an elliptical machine wore her out for two days.

It's most likely something generic and simple, but go to a doctor to be sure.

You could have mono. See a doc. :-)

You should check your immune system. I wound up with an overactive immune system. There are also viruses like Epstein Bar and mono. What state are you in? Email me at lynniepooh66@aol.com. I can tell you my story.
