I just dicovered I have a wart on the bottom of my foot?!

Question: No idea how I got it as I don't walk around outside without shoes on. Anyway, how do I get rid of it? I assume its a wart?? Do I have to go to the dermo or can over the counter stuff really work?

Go online and look up warts (mainly planters). If it is cauliflower looking, its a wart. I'm not sure how to describe planters warts, but you can find some good images on Google. But you should be fairly confident it is wart before trying to remove it. The acid in the medicine kills all the cells it comes in contact with. There's no need to kill perfectly healthy cells.
Over the counter stuff really does work, but not for all warts. Since it's on the bottom of your foot, it could be a planter's or a common wart. If you do get something over the counter, make sure it works for both. Also, be sure to follow the instructions on the package. Invest in a pumice stone to remove the skin over the wart before trying to kill the wart itself. If it doesn't work after a few tries (a couple weeks apart), go to a doctor.

The over-the-counter stuff can really work. Warts can go away on their own, too.

over the counter. if you want to get it off quickly then just go to the doctor. Also warts can just form any time. there is really no way to make it form.

My grandaughter had 6 on the bottom of her foot. Her Dr took them out with Liquid Nitrogen. Froze them out in about 6-8 weeks.

Try putting compound W on it and cover it up with duct tape. Leave the tape on as long as you can. This will suffocate the wart and it does take a little while because the roots are deep. You can also use the over the counter wart freezing kits but they don't always work. If you make an appt with your doctor, they can use liquid nitrogen and this almost always works but can take several cycles.

oh , thanks. i really wanted to know that.

Duct tape has been proven to remove warts, often better than other medical treatment.
-Cover the entire wart with duct tape for 6 days straight. If the tape come off, reapply with a new piece.
- After day 6, remove the tape and soak the foot in warm water for a while. Use a pumace stone or even a nail file and try to scrape away any loose skin on the wart.
-Repeat this entire process again. It can take a few weeks, up to even a few months at times. Some roots are very deep.
