Answers: I understand that morphine builds up in your body and eventually kills you, is this correct?

Not exactly. People can build up a tolerance to morphine and need higher and higher doses to achieve the same amount of pain control. If the dose becomes too high, it is possible to overdose. At high doses or when administered too quickly (usually by IV), morphine can knock out the respiratory drive so someone can stop breathing or breathe too slowly to maintain functioning if they take too much. That is more likely to happen with someone who is not accustomed to taking morphine. 30 mg per dose is the normal starting dose for morphine taken by mouth.

Um, no. That is not true AT ALL.
It would not be prescribed (couldn't) if this were true.

It's just a highly addictive medication, that isn't the best for the body (it is a drug, afterall), but is safe if used correctly, and as prescribed.

yeah ermm...idk.

haha, but i liek the song, lips like morhpine, by kill hannah.

No that's not true morphine is a good pain killer but your body craves it after awhile.I have had six back surgery's and take over 400mgs. every day for over 10yrs and I am still here.
