I just popped my knee out of place?!

Question: I have a heating pad on it..what else can I do?

Answers: I have a heating pad on it..what else can I do?

This is something that has happend to me randomly my whole life. Try to take it easy and if it's swelling use ice but heat works well too. Once you get better get some ankle weights and try to excersie that leg. Lie on your tummy and do leg lifts and do the same laying on your back. If it happens again please go to the doctor, it could lead to a serious injury.

Get the heating pad off of it NOW if you just did it!!!

You should be putting ice on it!!!

Edit: do what SouthPark says, he's nailed it!
and don't put any heat on it for at least 48 hours...ignore that person that is telling you to alternate.

Heat will increase the swelling at this point.

ice is better

Good

Go contact a doctor now, it can be serious.

go to the doctor fast and while u have the heating pack switch between hot and cold packs every 5 min

Well.... just pop it back in.

Elevate your knee. Keep it stabalized and make sure that you don't make any sudden movements. Heat will only loosen your tendons in the knee. Remove the heat and use Ice. I had the same problem about 6 months ago. My Therapist is actually pretty good but I'm in phoenix.

The rice it! method
R- rest it!
I - ice it!
C- compress it! (put an ace bandage or something on it
E- elevate it!

Call 911

Go to an emergency room? Maybe they'll tell you that you should put ice, not heat right after something like this happens...
And maybe somebody there will tell you that medical emergencies are better treated in a hospital than online...
