Answers: could be cramp or muscle strain, dunno?
coming from someone who has Heterozygos Protein S Defiency and on daily blood thinner medications, I would suggest you see a doctor about that. See, because of my blood disorder, I get blood clots in different areas of my body. I've had one on my groin, right arm, my hand and even my brain, behind my eye (caused a stroke), it sounds like it could be a blood clot. You should look up all your symptoms on Webmd.com and see for yourself. If it's a blood clot or a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) that can come lose and travel to your lungs (hense:a pulmonary embolis) or to your heart, causing a heart attack. Whatever you do, don't rub it at all, that is one of the worst things you can do if it is a blood clot. It can feel like a muscle strain and sometimes there is a burning sensation with it. Don't take any chances. GET CHECKED!
Maybe it's a Charley horse. This is when the muscles tightens up and you can feel a lump. You need to rub it gently to loosen it up. Then do some stretches.
Can you add more specifics?
