keep the piercing out and the site clean and dry. if you notice drainage or increased pain & redness, get to an urgent care for antibiotics.

go to a doctor

Erm there's this button on your computer that says caps lock. You might want to think about pushing it so it doesn't come across as if you're screaming...

Seeing that it's been 12 weeks, the wound should have closed up by now. But you've had an infection, which needs time to heal as well.
I would definately give it time to heal, and if it closes up before the infection's gone down, tough luck. At least your ear won't be permanently damaged. Infections in the shell of your ear (the cartilage) can do some horribly disfiguring damage...

Yes it will probably close up. Here's an option for you to try. Numb up your ear with some ice, and see if you can push a very thin stud earing throught he hole now that the ear is numbed up. (make sure you use surgical steel or real gold, no cheap earing, it will tarnish and cause infection too)
Now, go to a doctor and get on antibiotics for the infection!
The doc will tell you take the earing out, but you could see if the antibiotics work after a week or so. keep dabbing hydrogen peroxide on it several times a day, and keep a dab of antibiotic ointment on it all the time (like Neosporin, from the pharmacy). If it doesn't start to improve, you'll probably have to take the earing out. YOu can always repierce it.

when you have an infection it takes time for wounds to heal so i think your hole will be closed.
