when you 'lay down' you have time to think about how bad ur headache is.
Probably something to do with the blood rushing to the head causing extra pressure, after a while it settles down, I usually take a couple of pain killers and prop myself up until it's eased a bit.
Probably because a lot of headaches are actually cause by inactivity. You need to go for a walk or do something.
yep you nailed it its all to do with blood pressure and if it is remotely migrain orientated then closing your eyes helps even better if you can nod off to sleep for a while
fluctuations in blood pressure. If these are chronic, keep a these headaches along with diary/log of food, sleep, and activities to find the trigger. It helps. Seek medical advice and bring the log with you.
not sure about this. could be because your blood is concentrated more in your brain where the pain sensors are when you are lying down.?
