I Think i Might have fractured my finger, I need advice (see Details)?!

Question: a basket ball bounced off my backboard and it hit my finger, and sort of pushed it in. it got swollen only a bit, and a little bruising. i did go for an X-ray, but they said it was only sprained. but, when i try to curl my finger, it stops half way and i can't move it. it is like it's jammed and they bone is blocking it from bending,
What should i do?

Hello. This could be a very small hairline fracture that couldn't be picked up by an xray or a very badly sprained/jammed finger. first, you need to take aspirin, this will help with the swelling and pain. the next step is to use ice and elevated it. also you can tape that finger to the next one.

this will help keep it stable and from you bending or moving it.
I have had many sprains from gymnastics throughout my life. It should go away in about a week - ten days. if you have symptoms after that, go back to your doctor.

happy holidays.

Bruised/sprained does hurt, swells, and makes it hard to move. Use some ice on it and give it time to heal. The more you move it the better it will be. XRAYS usually show broken when broken.

pull it out and pop it back in. it might hurt but ull be fine

Tape it across the knuckle to a popsicle stick, not too tight, but firmly. That will stop you from bending it until the swelling goes down. The swelling is what's stopping you from bending it. Give it a good rest for 2-3 days and then Gently try to bend.
