I have a very small Hairline/Fissure fracture in my finger, How should I Treat i!

Question: A basket ball hit my finger and jammed it in and I might have a Hairline/Fissure fracture in my finger, but i don'l know how to treat it. should i tape my fingers? should i get a finger cast, or will it go on it's own? I need help on what i should do.

Use a metal splint for about 2 weeks. Take it off for showering only. Get an x-ray if the pain worsens.
