Get locked up again

will power.

I've been quit for 3 years now, belive it or not, it does take will power. You made the choice to start back, just like you could have made the choice NOT to. Some people just can't do it, maybe your one of 'em.

well i used to smoke but one day i just didnt want to do it anymore so i quit uhh it took me alot of prayer an will power an help from friends . an find something else to keep you busy like sunflower seeds or jerky or flavored toothpicks

God bless & Merry christmas!

I smoke also. I wanna quit too. All I can really suggest is this, I'm gonna give it a shot, The more you do good for your body, the less you'll wanna do bad for it.

Even with Chantix you still need some kind of support program. Call a friend, go for a walk or drive, just move when the urge hits you to smoke. Hide all the ashtrays and leave your smokes outside in the car or in the shed and that way if you really have to have one at least you have to make the effort to go out for it. The "urge" to smoke only last for a minute or 2 and if you can find something else to occupy those couple of minutes it gets easier each time. I'm just curious how long did you try the Chantix and did you take them at the same time everyday? Reason i ask is because i started them 3 weeks ago (today is the 1st day of the 4th week) and i've smoked for about 32 years now. Average between 1 &1/2 - 2 packs a day. In the 1st week i was down to around 10 - 15 smokes a day. The 2nd week i was down to only 6 -8 smokes a day. This past week i'm down to only 2 -4 a day. Only 2 for the last 3 days now. I've been using Red Hotts (little cinnamon candies) everytime i get the urge and it's really helping. My plan is to be down to zero smokes by the New Year. One other thing that helps is to write down all the reasons to quit (expensive, not healthy, smells bad, etc....) and look at the list when you want a smoke. Just keep telling yourself why you want to quit. Plus think about the money. In just these 3 weeks i've socked away a $100 plus already my sense of smell is getting better (both good and bad, haha). Don't give up. Just because you have a smoke or 2 today doesn't mean you can't start over again tomorrow. Good luck to you. I know how hard it is.
