More stress fracture problems. PLEASE help me!!?!

Question: Okay, so I've posted a few questions regarding my tibial stress fracture that I got in early August that I'm still having problems with. I finally took two weeks off work to help start the healing process since things were starting to worsen. I'm on my butt with my leg on top of a pillow ALL day. So, I feel no pain when I'm doing this. But the second I get up to walk, my leg hurts so bad. My leg really shouldn't be getting worse because I've been off it so much, so is this pain just happening because the bone isn't used to having pressure on it? I use crutches and a walking boot if I need to move around, I'm never barefoot unless I'm taking a shower. But the second I put my foot down to move, I feel pain. Does this mean my leg is getting worse or just that it's not used to having pressure put onto it because it's relaxed all day? I have an appointment on the 27th and I really want to avoid getting an MRI. I'm just so confused by these mixed feelings in my leg.

yes, the pain could be because your leg is not used to the pressure. Or it could also be that its getting worse. Now, no one will know for sure if its getting worse unless you have an x ray, but from my experience, if you havent really done much with your leg its proably not getting worse.

if the pain is unbarable, dont walk on it. But try to be on your feet a little (as long as your doctor said its ok).

I wish you the best of luck, and i hope this helps a little bit.

If you have an herbal store in your area try using "bone set" tea. It reduces the swelling and will get more blood into the area to speed up the healing. The downside is this stuff tastes nasty. Add some honey to it!
