Infected spaced ears?!

Question: my ears are spaced to a size 2 gauge and about 3 months ago one got infected, now they're both infected, and i clean them every night with bactine but it doesn't seem to be working. i really don't want to take them out. does anyone have any ideas about how too uninfect them?

Why do you think they're infected? Signs of infection - greenish discharge, warm to the touch, pain and swelling.

How long did you wait til you did your previous stretch (4-2 gauge)? Chances are you could have stretched too quickly, but I don't know you or how fast you stretch/if you've skipped a gauge, so I can't really say.

Stop the bactine. It prevents oxygen from getting to your piercing, which will prolong healing time. It needs oxygen to help it heal. Same goes with neosporin. Also, rubbing alcohol and peroxide. Those will dry the piercing out which will kill the good bacteria that is helping the piercing heal.
Start doing sea salt soaks and treating them like new piercings.

You may want to see a piercer about that, as s/he will be able to tell you for sure what's going on with your lobes. If they are infected you will have to see a doctor so s/he can give you antibiotics to make the infection go away.

*Edit* - I had a brain fart, heh. If the jewelry you have in is acrylic go change it to stainless steel or titanium now. Acrylic emits toxins into your body, which can make you very sick while irritating the crap out of a piercing. I learned the hard way that acrylic was bad - I had a healed stretch on my lobe piercing (years ago). After wearing acrylic for a few days my lobe got red, swollen, itchy and VERY sore and angry. I changed to a stainless steel plug and the lobe was back to it's old self after hours. Also, if the plugs you have in have black o-rings on the sides of them, you could be having a reaction to the o-rings. Try clear ones, as they are made from a different material. I can only wear clear ones in my piercings..

Wow that was a long post.. hopefully it helps though!

that happened to me...I got a second piercing in both ears, and they both ended up infected. I tried for about a month to heal them, but it didn't work...so i had to take them out. I hated to do that, and lose my money. try putting neosporin on them.... that might help some.
