Pill stuck in throat?!

Question: I had my wisdom tooth taken out a few days ago and need to take penicillin. I just swallowed one maybe an hour ago and it's still stuck in my throat. I've been drinking lots of water and it's not dissolving. Of course the pill is not blocking my air passage but, it's been stuck there for awhile now should I be worried or is their anything I can do to make the pill go down?

ayyy drink lots of fluids and maybe eat some bread.
whatever you do, try to get it down.
i had a pill stuck in my oesophagus, and it caused me the most pain i've felt in my life. i couldn't eat for two weeks and eventually had to go for a gastroscopy to see what was going on - not fun!
good luck!

throw up

Try forcibly swallowing the single biggest gulp of water that's humanly possible.

maybe drink something warm? to help it dissolve faster.

if water doesn't seem to be doing it maybe you should try some milk or something thicker than water. maybe even swallow a piece of food over it to try to push it down. i don't know how much chewing you are doing yet since you got that tooth pulled though so be careful! i hope it works out. happy holidays!
