It sounds like you have a little disc bulge in your neck. You should ice it no more than 20 min and then off for about a hour before you do it again. This is the one thing that is hard about helping people on the internet, I can't physically check you out. I am going to tell you what not to do. You should not try and stretch is out to the right, down, or rotate to the right. You want to keep the curvature in you neck as much as possible. This means you don't want to look down too much or have your head forward like looking at the computer or your head propt up watching tv. If you do these things it should go away in a couple of days. If you start to have any radiating symptoms down your arm or back you should go see a chiropractor or a physical therapist that specializes in McKenzie Technique. Hope this helps sorry I can't help you out more.

stretch your neck to the left hold 30 secs. to the right and hold 30 secs. forward left and hold and forward right and hold 30 secs. 2x a day.

Do some stretches. If it doesn't get better, make an appointment with a chiropractor and with a snap of his fingers and a swift motion o his hands, you will fee amazingly better!

try to put a hot pad so you can relax the muscles, and it feels good!!

If it's a pinched nerve, you should take some ibuprofen to reduce the inflammation. Ice can sometimes cause the muscles in the neck to tense up. You may want to try an air neck traction to take pressure off the nerve.
