Could be arm be broken?!

Question: It hurts worse than I've had in my arm before. I slipped on like the 4th stair on a flight of 13 stairs. It can move, but it hurts like so bad from my wrist area to my elbow almost. Could it be broken? Solid wood stairs. Oh **** it hurts!

If you're still home, yes it might be broken. It might also be injured in some other way.

If, for some reason, you cannot get yourself to a doctor right away, go to the freezer and find something to use as an ice pack. Frozen peas or other small veggies are wonderful for this, as they conform to any shape. It doesn't hurt the veggies, either. Wrap your 'ice pack' in a small towel and place it on the sorest part of your arm. Put the wrapped ice pack on the arm of a soft chair opr sofa and rest your arm on it if needs be. If the arm is already swelling, raise it a little. Put your ice pack on the back of the sofa and rest your arm on it there. Let the rest of your body settle down from the shock of falling. Get your wits about you, and then decide what you need to do. If someone else is responsible for you (parent, etc) please let this person know of this injury as soon as you can.

go to the dr's why are you just sitting around making your arm hurt by typing? go go go go go

If you struck the ulna which is the main bone from the elbow to the wrist, you bet it's going to hurt. There's also a large ulna nerve running next to that bone, also painful if struck hard. If you hit more on the elbow you can sprain the bursa which is the disc like feature that's in the joint between the elbow and large upper arm bone. Any break and you'll feel extreme pain. Get it X-rayed to better suit a treatment format.
