My chest hurts what do you think is wrong?!
Question: Well over the Christmas holidays ive been pretty sick. It started out as just a swore throat, then it moved up to a fever, and my body ached. Well my fever went down, and I don't ache as much, and my throat doesn't hurt me anymore but the left side of my chest is hurting me. If i just sit here and not do much its ok, but I still have a shortness of breath and if I breath in really deep it hurts or if i laugh it hurts as well. I made a Dr. apt but i was 5 minutes late and they wanted me to reschedule for tomorrow. I just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. But like i said the left side of my chest hurts, could it be from sinuses at all? I just want to make sure i don't need to go to the hospital. I can deal with a little pain and discomfort.

sounds to me like congestion in your chest. mucus is probably caked together and causing chest to hurt. better make sure you're not getting the flu. u need to take something to break up chest mucus, like robitussin.
You should go to the hospital. If you had a strep infection (strep throat), the bacteria may have gone to your heart and you may now have scarlet fever, which can damage your heart. I wouldn't wait until tomorrow.
