Both are codeine products which are used for pain control.

I don't recall any action of the products causing a thinning of the blood however you don't want to potentiate the effects of two different medications. You wouldn't want to be laying there and then experience any medical difficulties.

Having done several tattoos myself...one of the points in "crossing the tattoo threshold" is doing so without having to take pain medication.

sure go ahead

Stop being a baby. It doesn't hurt that much. Besides you shouldn't take anything. It could thin your blood which will make you bleed more

only take 1 of each and you should be fine, if you take 2 of both, you may not make it to see the tattoo!

Yes. It will work better if you take the pills and chase them down with a fifth of Vodka. Enjoy!

no it might kill you dont do it

thats too much to take at once...plus if you are such a baby, you dont need a tatoo..man up..

You should ask your doctor or the artist. I think you can. Good Luck!

yeah just be careful

If you want a tattoo, then tough it out. It's not like someone is forcing you to go through this pain.

You should probably get the tattoo done over a couple of sittings instead of all at once and forego the pain pills. The tattoo artist will do cleaner work when it's parcelled out over a couple of sessions. Plus your body will naturally combat the pain--- you still feel it but it's really not bad enough to require a heavy-duty painkiller.

If your oxy and hydro are mixed with a blood thinner like aspirin or APAP, you might bleed out during your tattoo.
If you are worried about the pain, maybe, you should delay the tattoo until you are grown.

Dont be retarded. Just take the pain, it doesnt hurt that bad you big pansy.

Wait and see if you need them. If you do follow the recommended dose which is probably two every 4-6 hours. Just don't do them all at one time. Spread them out over a period of several hours.

You might exceed your limit on tylenol (I assume you have percocet and lortab).

Honestly, the pain from a tattoo wasn't that bad -- tylenol and ibuprofen were enough. Now, I can't stop you from taking the pills (and I have a feeling you are going to take them) so just take them one at a time every 4-6 hours.

just place a call to your DR and ask . Your DR will tell you if it's okay or not. Why take a chance ? This is what you pay your doctor for , might as well take advantage of their knowledge. I can understand not wanting to feel any pain. I'm sure Doctors understand this too. I would get the medical facts.

If you can't stand the pain - don't get a tattoo!! They do tell you not to drink or take aspirin before getting a tattoo because it will cause you to bleed more which leads to the possibility of scarring. Just "bite the bullet" and get the tattoo with no medication. If you must, take it after you get the tattoo, you big baby!!

that would be one cocktail. in my opinion, one or the other. sounds like you want to get high; and you are cautious about a drug interaction. at least you are being wise, and that's good for you. in this day and age pharmaceuticals are widely abused, all those pills you mentioned are narcotics. besides the effects of those pills wouldn't last the duration of that tatoo, you'd be comeing down before you knew it.

You can take them 4-6 hours apart but not at the same time, that would be double what is safe to take.

You should never mix drugs of any kind for any reason without the authorization and knowledge of your physician.

But, you already knew that, didn't you?

it won't kill you. You probably won't need it though.

They are both almost indentical in nature,To take both would be pointless in my opinion.I wouldnt take them for a tattoo.Ive felt worse pain thats more deserving of hydrocodone and oxycodone. But to answer your question...Is it the right thing to do...Thats your call.....is it safe to take both.....yes but its important that you are familiar with your tolerance levels as to not take too much if you decide to take them.Sounds more like your fishing for an answer to a good buzz....eeehhhmmm :)

Dude, its a tattoo. You don't need meds...you will be fine. And don't mix medications. Take one or the other if you can't man up.
