Pain behind my knees and the bottoms of my feet after a workout ?!

Question: ok , so yesterday i went a little overboard with my exercise , and fast walked/ jogged on the treadmill for 6 hours . today i couldn't walk right because the backs of my knees hurt and the bottoms of my feet ( in the middle ) are really sore . so today i had to lean on the handles and not put any weight on my legs and could only manage a 4.5 incline walk for an hour .

I'm not that heavy i'm 5'2 and weigh 49 kilos . I use to be able to walk 5 hours a day and not have any pain but i haven't done this for about 8 months , so maybe my body just isn't use to it anymore.

How long will it take to go back to normal ? Is there anything i can do , any leg exercises maybe, that will help it recover quicker. I want to start walking at a normal pace again as soon as possible ( for 2 hours a day )

p.s- that was the first time i have ever walked 6 hours in one day , and i don't plan to do that ever again lol i just got bored.

I would think this is just overexertion. If you havent ever done 6 hours before, the reason for this is most definitely too much exercise. Too much of a good thing like exercise, can damage bones, joints, etc.

I myself get knee problems when weightlifting, but i think its chronic, because after football, only my left knee is sore after workouts
