Any ear and throat experts out there?!
Question: Okay, the skin around the opening of my ear is a little swollen and painful to touch.
I'm also having an odd pain in either my throat or my chest. I can't tell where it is, but I feel pain whenever I take a deep breath or lean over to pick something up.
Are the two related? What medicine can I take for it?
I can't see a doctor. I haven't got the money or the insurance yet.

Take lots of Vitamin C you might try putting a piece of cotton in your ear to help keep drafts out. Wear warm scarf around your neck wear a warm hat if going out. My favorite sore throat remedy is to gargle with a mixture of 1/4th cup apple cider vinegar and 1/4th cup water as long and slow as possible. After you finish that sprinkle a little salt way at the back of your throat. You may also want to buy some Golden Seal tea or capsules at your local health food store. Plenty of fluids and rest. Sounds like you need antibiotics if you get a fever then you should go ahead and go to the doctor and if you don't have the money then try the ER.
If you are waiting for insurance, medicaid or medicare , please go to a doctor and telll them that. Medicaid/medicare can bill up to the three previous months. Could be related but why chance it. Anything respiratory could be serious. good luck/
It might be inflamation of the chest. You might possibly have strep throat. You might have an ear infection.
